Charlotte Bihain specialises in real estate taxation. Her practice covers income tax, VAT and registration duties.
Charlotte assists national and international clients in the context of real estate transactions (asset and share deals, rights in rem), real estate development projects, real estate leasing, sale and lease-back and leases. She also deals with the tax aspects of real estate investments (pre/post-acquisition structuring, tax due diligence) and reorganisations of real estate companies and groups (mergers, splits, contributions of lines of business, etc.).
She furthermore has solid expertise regarding the taxation of real estate investment funds and public-private partnerships.
Charlotte has authored various publications on real estate taxation and is a frequent speaker at seminars.
Charlotte holds a Master’s in Law from the Université libre de Bruxelles (2012) and a complementary Master’s in Tax Law from the same university (2013), in addition to which she has followed the Executive Programme in Real Estate at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (2018).
Charlotte is professor at the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Fiscales (ICHEC-ESSF) where she teaches real estate taxation.
